Term 1, Issue #4 2023
Looking back on this first Term of 2023, we are proud to note how far we have come as a school family, celebrating our strong mercy history, and building an education fit for the future and a world God desires.
We remain committed to preparing Catherine McAuley students for tomorrow's world, empowering our young learners to shape the world they want to live in.
We are also grateful for the time and care that so many of you take in responding to the needs of your children and that of the school. Our home-school partnership is conducive to the well-being of all students and to the teaching and learning in every classroom. Thank you for your on-going support.
So, as this Term ends, we celebrate all the wonderful events and activities that have been enjoyed, all the deep teaching and learning that has taken place and for all the gifts and talents each student brings to our community.
As we look to Term 2, we offer a warm welcome to all the new students, and their families starting at Catherine McAuley School. It is an exciting time to be joining us and we are looking forward to getting to know you all, and working alongside you to ensure your child is happy and successful in their own right. We will also welcome Fr, Santosh who will be joining our Elizabeth Parish Community in the early part of Term 2.
Wishing you all an enjoyable break, see you next term.
Yours in Faith, Growth and Unity

On Friday 31st March, Catherine McAuley School celebrated Sports Day in close to perfect conditions for outside activities. Throughout the day, I was impressed by the level of sportspersonship and respect shown by the students. The sense of teamwork and camaraderie amongst the houses was evident and led by our amazing Sports Captains. It was great to see students demonstrating their agility, coordination, speed and strength to the best of their ability throughout Sports Day. To see everyone having so much fun and striving to gain points for their team was a highlight.
Thank you to all the staff for their commitment and work leading up to Sports Day to guarantee everyone had a successful day. The students appreciated your enthusiasm, encouragement and willingness to get involved and celebrate a day of activity and fun.
I’d also like to congratulate the students on their willingness to demonstrate the Sports Day values of Respect, Effort, Care for Others and Self-Direction. Thank you to all the Sports Captains for their help and support in preparing for and assisting on Sports Day. Thank you to the many parents who were able to join us on Sports Day and support their child/ren. They appreciated your encouragement and enthusiasm.
Congratulations to the John Smith team on winning the Sports Day Shield and the Spirit Cup.
